The Prince George Fire Rescue Service Boot Drive for Muscular Dystrophy will be raising funds for Muscular Dystrophy Canada at Pine Center Mall, Costco, Wal-Mart and all four Save-on-Foods locations. In addition, a group of fire fighters will be stopping by local pubs on Friday night to collect donations.

"This has been going on for over 50 years now," local fire fighter Kevin Scobie said. "Prince George people are always generous, even when times are hard."

The 4th Annual Burn Fund Car Wash took place today despite not very favorable weather. The Car Wash/BBQ/Open House was at Hall 2 (corner of Ospika and 5th). We had over a dozen Local 1372 members in attendance as well as several wives/girlfriends and a few children.

The weather was not co-operating at all as there was a light rain and grey clouds all day. This year we washed between 40 and 45 cars this year, in years past (with better weather) we wash 75-90 cars.
